Business Development Manager
Permanent | Salary up to £40k per annum plus car allowance

SimplyBiz Mortgages are one of the UK’s top mortgage clubs, supporting over 4,300 directly authorised mortgage intermediaries with award winning compliance and business support services.
We are recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join our growing SimplyBiz Mortgages team. In this role, you’ll be developing and identifying business opportunities to increase the profitability and awareness of our Mortgage Club.
This role is field based and will cover North England so you’ll ideally be located in this area.
What you'll be doing
- Conducting regular business review meetings with member firms
- Conducting regular proactive call out days to enhance and add value to our members
- Identifying new opportunities within our partners proposition to benefit our member firms
- Building and leveraging strong member firm relationships
- Positively influencing business levels for mortgages, protection and general insurance
- Delivering profitable volume growth
- Supporting the Mortgage Helpdesk when required
- Controlling and running Mortgage Events, virtual and face to face, effectively obtaining positive feedback from members and presenters
- Working collaboratively with internal departments to identify new business opportunities for members, and improve member retention
- Working with internal staff to identify opportunities to increase membership levels to Mortgage Club and Simply Protect and its GI proposition
- Working collaboratively and effectively with internal members of staff to enhance our member’s overall experience with SimplyBiz
- Comprehensively troubleshooting any problems, challenges or complaints
- Supporting the Senior Key Account Manager in achieving targets and KPI’s set for the Mortgage Club
What you need to succeed
- A good working knowledge of the Protection, Mortgage, and General Insurance market place
- CeMap Qualified
- Previous working knowledge and experience in the Intermediary sector
- Ability to motivate and influence Directly Authorised intermediaries
- Previous experience of Business Development or Account management in the Financial Sector
- Able to coordinate effective training sessions and bespoke presentations, to varying audiences of varying sizes
- Ability to proactively overcome objections efficiently and effectively
